The Jordan Apartments is an existing 55 unit studio apartment building in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. Acquired by Conard House in 2003, the building was rehabilitated and the use was converted to include a supportive housing program for emotionally troubled adults. The project includes a complete upgrade of the building life/safety system, ADA barrier removal, a new trash disposal system, new roof, and all new windows. Design work included new finishes throughout with an emphasis on high-quality durable materials that would give tenants a sense of pride. Many of the building’s period details were restored, improving not only the quality of the interior spaces, but of the streetscape as well.
